Guided tour
Visitors are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the time assigned for the start of the guided tour at the entrance of the Old Monastery.
There is not guided visit to the New Monastery and the church of Santa María, visitors are allowed to follow the tour at their own pace.
Pets are not allowed inside the monuments or on the shuttle.
Parking and shuttle
Parking areas are available just next to the New Monastery, and then visitors must take the bus to the Old Monastery. Both are almost a mile (1.5 km) away one from the other; a shuttle service is available between them.
On dates with little influx of visitors, the shuttle service between monasteries is not available and parking is allowed by the Old Monastery.

How to get here
Located in one of the Exterior Mountains of the Central Pyrenees, San Juan de la Peña forms part of the Protected Landscape of San Juan de la Peña and Mountain Oroel, nearby to the town of Jaca.
BY CAR
The best way to get to the monumental group is the one along the road N-240 (Jaca/Pamplona), taking the deviation at the beautiful village of Santa Cruz de la Serós. A mountain road that starts from the village takes us until the Old Monastery, and from there it is necessary to travel 1,5 km more until the New Monastery and the Interpretation Centres.
